The choice may not be up to you. During "teching" they'll make you remove any loose items in the car. You won't have to remove the spare or the jack, but the sub-box perhaps, and floormats definitely.

i dont remember seeing them open the trunk, but if they did, they didnt say anything about it, cause the box stayed in the car, and im happy to say, it didnt dislodge itself during the 4 runs we took.

im also happy to say that i barely got beat by a maxima running on racing tires(not autox compounds) and he's been doing this for over a year now..!!! my best time on the field was a 56.7 and the fastest score to my knowledge was 50.1 i believe, by the favorite of the day, TIM in a blue miata. im happy to say this time beat out all the mustangs, firebirds and camaros out there, racing tires or not...experienced drivers or not...!!! hehehe, i may have to try this again, with the sub box of course, so i can continue to hurt egos...

..during the fun run, i blasted the stereo away, to the awkward stares of everyone else....bwajajajajajaja, i ate it up

 

See, this is why I tell you guys to get your ass out to an autocross. It's shitloads of fun, and you might even surprise yourself.

sorry, no pix, i wasnt prepared cause my friend called me 8pm on sat night about it. the event was at 10am, registration 8-9:30am and it was 90 miles away. so i just took everything loose out of the car, went to volvo dealership where my friend works as mechanic and took off that protective white plastic off alot of thier cars to protect the paint against cones....looked funny, but worked great. after that went to sleep early. forgot my camera...but im sure they took pix and i'll ck to see if any get posted on the carclub that sponsored the event.
