Auto Up Window Switch
I was wondering if the 2003 CL window switches would fit into the 2001 and allow for auto up and down. That would be a great feature. I'm pretty sure the switch is the only thing that needs to be changed but I'm not positive. Also, I can't seem to find it on the e-store. I found all the other switches for the dash but no window switches.
Is the auto up/down feature for the driver only or passenger too?

how about you invest into real auto up/down modules.
Try looking for Twindow, they make a module you can wire in for drive and/or passenger to do 1 touch roll up and down. I have them in my car even though driver side is already auto 1 touch up and down. You do not need to replace switches.

That's neat. I didn't know the '03s had the auto up, too.
You knew that Ryan, haha I told you on the phone. But yes a cool feature. What's even cooler is, my bros new Lex IS250, has ALL 4 freakin windows with auto up.

autoloc makes some crappy unreliable modules too.
The best ones on the market Twindow, cost me $130 (cost, me being a dealer) each, that does 1 window up and down. the Twindow's are 100% reliable.
You can get Viper507T module that does two windows up and down. Thats just under $200 for that piece. I don't like it though.

I have a DEI 530T in my 4runner, and love it. It was around $80 shipped from eBay.
It gives one touch auto up-down for two windows, and with the third channel on my alarm, I can either vent the windows, or roll them all the way down.
I have heard of Camaro guys changing the OEM alarm so that it'll unlock both doors with one push of the button, then roll down the windows with the second push. Don't know if it's possible with ours, just throwing that out there.

I use the Viper530T for my customers at my shop, its a cheap unit. Its 1 unit for two windows up and down and vent.
I use my strictly for window roll up. It is 100% accurate. You don't wanna leave your windows down and hit arm on your aftermarket alarm and there being a slight chance it wouldn't roll up. Mine roll up 100%.
Plus they are awsome flawlessly for auto up and auto down. Let me see if I can find a website, I know they are made somewhere in the states, but we buy it local from our distributor. I remember them being in the states once because I tried calling them directly looking for a sunroof module, to open and close 1 touch so I can control it from my aftermarket alarm

I would really love to figure out how to do a deal like the camaro guys did with our factory remote! That way u just hit unlock twice and get the windows + sunroof(mabey?) down. Think how pimp that is when you're picking up a girl or something.
Seems like there are quite a few modules. Do these all simply install behind the panel and allow you to use your normal switches? Please everyone list what they used, what it cost, and where to get it! :-)
Also I think the next step would be auto up on lock.

ok well i have much better news: Its totally possible for < $100 with factory remote. The way it is done is you install a DEI 530T for the windows and a 529T for the Moonroof. The way the camaro guys did it was to rewire the unlock button on the remote because it is a 2 function button. What u do is rewire it so one click unlocks both doors, and a double click drops the windows + sunroof. I don't know how to wire it yet but when we get it figured out I'll write a DIY. Here are some of the sources I've read so far:
Camaro writeup
DEI 530T manual scan
Alarm install help forums
RSX DIY guide
Please add input or experience to help get us rolling :-)

The sunroof is gonna be the problem because it's a tilt/slide. I had a master Clifford installer racking his brains trying to get it to work.
Problem is that it would close the sunroof but then immediately crack it. Couldn't control it.

it is 100% possible to do
530t = $60
529t = $40
(off ebay)
hurdles:
-properly installing the 530t, 529t
-figuring out the factory alarm wiring and reassigning the 2nd unlock function to windows
The first i posted an install guide for a similar car (rsx i think?) so all we gotta do is confirm how u install the modules, figure out which wire / terminal is the unlock one and add our wires to it. Then mabey add the up wires to the lock command terminal

I need some serious help here! I have a used Honda and I just found an old alarm system and Twindow device under the dash. The wiring was a complete disaster so I decided to just take the whole mess out.... then I realized that my power windows no longer worked!!!
I didn't realize this would happen and am pretty upset since my air conditioner just went out and it's getting pretty hot outside now.
I called Twindow and a really nice guy told me that I need to hook a couple of wires up to one window and a couple of wires up to another window in order for my power windows to work again. But, could I just wire the car to how it was straight from the factory?
