I know I saw my edit time and thought about that. I thought about posting a new post saying refresh, but that would be extra pw of me.

However, way off topic, but the new Acura advertisement at the top, where you can grag and drop the sun is pretty sweet.

so ya, its a versus lip that has been cut, because i was on the highway and a truck dropped a bunch of big bags full of wood chips. and they went under the car and took the middle of the lip with it!! hehe. so i had to go to the point of cutting away all the damage. but now that i did it, i would never go back.

and sorry but i wouldn't be able to give any dimensions because everything is custom made and i didn't really measure, i just started at point A and finished at point B, Lil

i will get some pics from the paint shop soon.

i wanted to clarify something... i didn't do the swap on the car, a friend of mine did. my brother asked me to do it at the time, and i was busy, with a very small shop, and i didn't want to take up the place, especially knowing that since it had never been done, it would take longer than expected. he wanted the car done asap. he is very impatient and he doesn't realize how much time goes into something like this. i didn't want to cause trouble between me and my bro by giving him any false promises. so i sent him to a friend that owns a well known shop near by. I am kinda happy i did, because like i said, he is a very impatient person. the car took my buddy like 2 years to get running. its very hard to work on a car like this. because the smallest thing could take hours and you find yourself cutting corners just to move ahead. i hate doing that, and i don't like having cars sit around for nothing, so i turned down the build at first. My brother got mad at times because there was no progress for months at a time, but i was happy that i didn't involve myself, because then it would have been fighting between brothers for sure, lol

the car only took about 2 weeks of solid work altogether by my friend, but its hard like i said to tackle issues when you feel like the smallest thing is taking hours.

my brother is also a bit of a neat freak, and the way he got the car back was fine but there were allot of things that need attention. I mean I totally understand my friend for not putting the detail he does in other cars, he was kinda fet up with seeing the car, and wanted it out! but i find myself going over everything he did because it almost seems he had a lack of motivation and left alto of things unfinished. so i don't want to take credit for putting the motor in, because i didn't do that, but everything after that point i am pretty much doing or redoing just to make sure that things look original, and he doest have any unnecessary break downs while driving.

and this time my brother is a bit more patient and is now starting to realize that for things to be done well, there is no way to give a deadline, and i feel less stressed about working on his car now cuz the shop is like 2500sqf and i got plenty of room to work (obviously the work on my brothers car is probono, lol).

up to now, i fixed up some wiring temporarily, took out the charger, and made a custom turbo kit. i changed the alternator and some mods were done to the engine harness. i am intending on re doing the harness just to simplify it, because there are to many unused and messy looking wires. i want things to look a bit better than they do now under the hood. i will be putting back all the covers, and making some quality rad hoses and overflow tank just to spiff things up a bit. i will also make a breather system, and any accessories that have been taken out of the car i will get all traces of them taken out as well so that the engine bay looks a bit more appealing.

the car is doing well the way it is now, and has no temp problems or engine bay heat problems. i would be able to put it on the dyno like this, but i want things A1 before i officially put the car back on the road. i plated it and he has been driving it for the past few days, to get the itch out. he has had this car in garages since about 2 years now. and he has wanted a chance to drive it for quite some time, so i let him take it around a bit, but now its time to put everything in order, and make this a daily driver. meaning he can drive it daily without breakdowns, weird sounds. not that it has happened yet, but lets just say i wouldn't take it on a road trip like this. lol

wow, i really ramble about this car, i think its because i like it soooo much.......

anyways I'm gonna stop now, and thanks for the comments BTW. lol

i dont think you guys understand what he did. He turboed a J32A3 and dropped it in his CL, thats nuts! i dont think anyone has put a J32A3 into a CL, let alone turbo it!
are your running it on that 6spd tranny?

its a bit more powerful then the J32A2 (270 hp and 233lb-tq vs 260 hp and 232lb-tq), and he said he had the 6spd tranny from the 2006 TL so i think he just swapped the whole engine and tranny over.

that 6 speed bolts right into the j32a2. and a pnp with a cam swap could have yielded that 10 hp gain

ya, but like i said, i blew the j32a2, it leaned out because of the fmu. so i had no chioce, it was either rebuild the j32a2, or opt out for the j32a3. nothing to do with power increase. it just wound up that way.

and here are the pics of the car i promised.
