that would be at the top of the list of mods that wouldn't be worth it.

Carbon fiber hood is far from a worthless mod. Have you seen Matt's car?

kahh bon fy bahh gayddm twwoo sicc...

cf is OVER RATED, not worthless, unless you're putting down 300+ hp and need to lose some weight.

again, the hand brake conversion will still be considered.

Wouldn't losing weight on a car help to make it faster whether you've got 300hp or 160hp? I know where you're coming from ... the CLs aren't exactly lightweight cars, and a CF hood isn't going to make it much faster, but weight is always a factor when trying to make your car faster. Look at the Elise.

As far as the hand brake conversion, you'd need to do a full center console conversion to the CL-S 6spd wouldn't you? Then you lose the (imho) cooler cup holders!

Would probably work, but would cost more money than its worth imho ... If you're doing the work yourself it probably wouldn't be too bad though.

I love the look of the hand brake right next to me where as the foot brake is blocking my dead pedal and scratching my shoes.

I wasn't fond of it on the floor, but after a couple weeks, I like the fact that it's out of the way. I never use the damn thing anyway, so I don't really care where it is. I agree with MattG that this will be on my list of waste of time mods. But, to each his own. Go nuts.

well if it's within my budget than it's all gravy but if it's truly that expensive as most of you members say than I'll probabbly think about it.

If you buy an 03 6-speed you get the hand brake instead of the one on the floor.

The new CTS-V has a foot operated parking brake which I completely dislike, plus you have to pull on something to release it, unlike the push down to release.

Yeah my Dad's RL is like that. I sat there for awhile pushing the emergency brake down to get it to release and it just kept going further down ... I was like wtf? Until I remembered that there is an emergency brake release handle.
