BMW 528i with 409 horsepower and 0-60 in 3.9 sec! Do you think he is telling the truth??
I do believe custom parts can make things perform better.. I'm not an engine guru by any means, but for those who are, check this out and try to prove or disprove this Bimmer owner.. Just like you guys did for that guy in SoCal who put a chip in his CL and got over 300HP..

I guess the hp number could be real, but the 0-60 i find hard to be the truth...Considering the times on a 400hp M5...don't think a modified 528 would be at 3.9!!! just my 2 cents!!

Did you guys read on in the post??
He goes on to say that he has both an Auto and a fully gated 6-speed manual..
And that the 528 beat M5s and 911s..
And he is only 20.
also, that he knows of a 400HP TL owner as well..
and some top secret engine mod that does all this speed..
I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt even though it is hard to believe. Give the guy a chance to back up his claim, if he doesn't then flame him. Until then, wait and see..
I suggest that if you could, register on the TL forum and grill him to see if it true or not..

BTW i think the 20 year old on the tl forum with that 528ia is NirvanaIB from here who had the CLS with 8 TVS and 22 tweeters

Question -- does anyone have an idea how much HP it would take to push a car of the M5s shape at 200+ MPH?
If I owned something like what is being talked about -- I would be driving the thing, not talking about it to all of the people on the boards...

could be true =) but 0-60 is kinda ODD but idont know. 3.9 isnt that hard to get if u have the $$$$$$ and the guts to use NOS

"What is wrong with young..." (Nothing -- I've seen 50 year olds that should be tossed out of 100 HP cars)
If you have headers, AEM, etc -- you are running about 305 HP at the crank.
Based on my own testosterone levels at 19 years old, I'm not so sure that I would have been OK with 400-500 HP in a 3000lb car. But that was just me (I survived, but there was less traffic, and I only had about 180 HP in a 2300lb car).
Did you see that Viper Issue -- 3.9 to 60 is not that easy to get in a RWD car with DOT legal tires.
