I don't know why the heck you'd need one...honestly that is something best made for a custom setup because very few people actually would need that.

It would be for a turbo setup. Anyway, I am still wanting this exhaust so I am in for sure on the group buy.

If we go changing the design around the cost is and time are both going to go up a bit because new tooling will be needed, etc. The idea here is that the 2g TL kit will be easy to retrofit, so that is the continuing plan.

Mike (previous owner of ATLP) phased out the perforated-core tips. I can't say why but we do want to keep the product line consistent.

I actually prefer newer tips. It seems to me like they might stick an inch too far out. I wonder if ATLP did that so it is easier to see their logo.

Love the exhaust but I don't care for the single round exit. Quad? Oval??

I think it is more of an illusion than anything else...and past that I think if it didn't come out more it might look too sucked in. Also, I think it was originally designed on a car with a lip kit...

Frankly, people say a lotta stuff, but most of them are just saying stuff they heard other people say. If you are going for max power then 3" is good, but by no means is it required and you will get PLENTY of power turboing a car with a free flowing exhaust. There is no one-sized fits all setup and there is no blanket need for big exhaust on a turbo car. The tuning will make more of a difference than anything else.

I am not saying you should not get a 3" system, but you don't need to go on thinking you need one JUST because you are turbo.

That seems like an odd thing to do.

Wondering who would actually say it. I want the damn thing. I don't even like the tips that much but what choices do we have for a quality, gains proven exhaust do we have for our cars. Looks are the least of my worries, I spend on go fast parts because I like to drive. If its not the hottest looking thing on there who cares. How does is perform is all I care about. Dyno sheets talk...
If I cared that much I could spend a day cutting and re-welding a different tip on there. But that couldn't happen if the exhaust doesn't exist.

There have been gains on Accords. I may lose a few foot-pounds of torque down low, but with my plans for the engine over the next year or so, I should be able to make it up.

No doubt there would be gains, but probably at the expense of decent sound. Not really our bag...

With the proper resonator setup it wont be much louder/raspier/drone(ier?) then a 2.5". But I understand that you need to make a profit on this and 2.5" would be the popular choice.

Though it's impossible to be sure without testing, I'd imagine the drone would me insane.

From what I could tell, the stromung mufflers are straight through mufflers. According to Bernoulli's principle, faster air would exert less pressure from the inside of the muffler at higher air flow. At WOT and high RPM, the mufflers won't be doing much of anything at all. With a 3" diameter, it would be really hard to keep the tone and intensity to tune. All R&D, duno if it's worth it.

Also for the current ATLP exhaust, idk how it sounds at WOT. It seems like it goes silent above 3k rpm, but that might just be because I'm inside.

The Fujitsubo on my TSX does the same thing...it does make sound though, outside the car.

Didnt know ATLP uses Stromung mufflers. All of the 3" exhausts Ive seen/heard (in person) were using Magnaflow mufflers and resonators. Dead silent at idle, no drone, and a nice, deep, clean tone at WOT. They were no louder then my 2.5" CT exhaust.

On the fence but considering it. Personally, I'm all for a stealth system with HP gains. That's more my style. The Anthracite TL sounded just a bit smoother.

If you have a coupe, it may fit. If you have a sedan, you might wanna try the TL version of the exhaust.
