Where should I take my car for an oil change? Stick with the dealers? I have an appointment at Open Road Acura in Wayne for the 13th, but I'd love to get my car in sooner. Park Ave had an even longer wait.
How about buying Mobil-1 synth? Should I buy online or are there any recommendations on where to get it?
Thanks,
Elliot

I use a local Gas station by me. 20 bucks if you use their oil. Not sure what he would charge of you borught your own. Its a Texaco in Livingston (Essex). You should be fine using a local gas station, as long as you know someone who went there and didn't get their car messed up. Dealers usually charge double what you can get at the gas stations.

If so, have a name of a mechanic you trust?
Thanks,

How about doing it yourself?!?! I'm not trying to be a jerk of anything, but oil changes on the CL are extremely easy, with the oil filter located just to the left of the right tire. I just turn my tires to the right, and I don't even have to lift the car or anything. It would be alot cheaper and you can get it done alot sooner! (Like, right now...)

You still have to drain the oil from the oil pan. THen find somewhere to dispose of it. Its a pain and its almost cheaper nowadays to have someone do it for you.
