ARGH! Front Bumper nearly ripped off!
I went to lunch today and everything was going great. I park my car and I put it in reverse to pull out. I hear a scraping noise so I'm like WTF? come to find out it's this front bumper hung up underneath this parking space barricade. I couldn't move it. It was a huge log. I had to keep moving my car in reverse to get it from underneath. The whole front bumper nearly ripped off. People ran outside like what was that noise?!? The people just stared and were man that was a nice car that got screwed up. I'm normal ride height. who's at fault?

You were spared!! i hope at least..any damage? A few weeks after my dad got his 2000 SL 500 sport..he went to a supermarket. On his way out..while backing up he literally did rip off his front bumper. My mouth dropped at how much the repair was. Hope you dont have to fix anything..our cars are 4x4's anyways right?

It's fully covered. It needed a new front bumper anyway. I bought it used and the guy who had it before me traded paint with a white car so I had to use touch paint on that. looks like some plastic from the undercarriage ripped off and it's scrubbing the wheel. It looks like an easy fix, but I may just get a new bumper anyway.

Wow, that's the first I've heard of someone without a lowered car ripping off their bumper. I lowered my last CL and went threw about 7 bumpers in 2 years. But that's 'cause the streets suck around here. Be carefull with those parking stops.
