APEXi AFC NEO ? good for tunes

wazup recently purchased some p2r fuel rail, rdx injectors an the intak emanifold should be getting port an polish this week coming up...but i want the car to get tune but dont know excactly what system i should used...i seen a video on youtube an the kid had his cl s tune with APEXi AFC NEO.... lmk need some suggestions

civicdrivr 04-16-2011 06:34 PM

No.

And RDX injectors are overkill for that.

ivan06106 04-16-2011 06:41 PM

so what should i do then...any suggestions

civicdrivr 04-16-2011 06:43 PM

Stock injectors can handle a port and polish just fine. The stock ECU can for that matter as well.

ivan06106 04-16-2011 06:46 PM

ok but my thing is that i want to go with bigger injectors an port/ polish intake manifold, so what other tunning progrm i should used greedy emanage

ivan06106 04-16-2011 06:48 PM

forget it no bigger injectors gas is to expensive lolz... if i just do the port an polish an the apexi AFC neo its fine

Bigger injectors will not make more power on that setup. Youre simply wasting gas, and bogging down the motor in the process.

Wouldn't you want a V-afc so you can tune VTEC. I had V-afc in every honda I've owned until the 08 Accord and the TL. I wondered if the V-afc would do the TL some good. I had it on my 03 CL-S6 and it made nice gains after leaning it and lowering vtec to 4k rpm. If you're not running intake/hdr/exhaust the V-afc wouldn't be a good choice until you did have these items

As far as I know I thought V-afc was not compatible with i-vtec, i could be wrong I know they work great for the older honda motors and what not, but have yet to see one actually working with the j series, seen a couple on k series but alot of guys go the hondata route.

yeah i got xs headers, comptech cold intake, p2r gasket n throthle body spacer, lightweight crank pulley, hyper medalion exhaust, ngk laser iridium etc..so its good if i used the v-afc

good luck. no current Apexi ANYTHING (neo, SAFC, VAFC) or even AEM F/IC work with the J series engines. You can say all you want. I've done the research, I've talked to the shops all over the country. The tune will run for about 10 minutes and then the ECU will take over and go back to controlling your ignition & fuel system. THE END.

The F/IC has been up and running on the J series for over a year now...
