Anyway to turn Courtesy/Door Lights off?

Just curious. Is there anyway you can turn the courtesy lights off during the day? Seems pointless to me.

IMO, those courtesy lights should've been hooked up to the parking lights. What do I know though.

Well If it's night time and you are opening your door to get out of your car, I mean I don't know about you but I don't leave my lights on when I get in/out of the car

Might be able to wire in a photocell that'll come on when it's dark enough outside, and stay off when in full sunlight.

why not? thats why your car has the feature of the lights turning off and on automatically.

Why not wire up a switch to those lights so you can turn them on/off as you please

I'd be more worried about the stock bulbs burning out sooner than the leds.

LEDs have an extremely long life span. One manufacturer has calculated the ETTF (Estimated Time To Failure) for their LEDs to be between 100,000 and 1,000,000 hours [7]. Fluorescent tubes typically are rated at about 10,000 hours, and incandescent light bulbs at 1,000-2,000 hours.

I see what he saying. I bought the dome light LEDs from superbrightleds.com and it started blinking like crazy and not it doesn't do anything. Its because they design it for 12V but when a car is running it gives off more. (like 14.4) I had leds go bad in my integra and my bros integra the dome went out too. I know many other people its happened too. I going to make my own using super flex led.

Some threads do, then they get back on topic. As long as nothing is geared towards a mods job to close the thread comes up, why bother?

i don't understand why you want to turn off your door lights? they don't waste that much battery, it would look like it was broken if they were off at all. sorry, i just don't understand why. and this is me, getting back into the topic =]

Because I personally, dont need them on during the day. Just thought there would be a feature or a sensor that turns them off. IT'S......NOT.....A.......BIG......DEAL! I will deal.

That could be fun to try...wire in a light sensor.

I think it would be pointless but something to try...
