I have a 2003 CLS 6speed. Is there any way I can make the oem sound system louder? Are we able to add amplifiers?

 

I don't think you can, any kind of aftermarket amp would probably blow the stock speakers. you would need a whole new setup. speakers, tweeters, head unit and, if you want subs you would most likely need bigger alternator and better battery to handle the power

 

If your using your phone/ipod to listen to music buy a tape deck aux connector for like $10(Mine here). I used it in my 2000 TL and still in my 07 TL-S. For some reason the volume comes in much louder

 

I'm not an audio guru, but I think the quality loss would be really bad at higher volumes. The tape adapters are convenient, but they don't sound too great.

If I remember correctly, there's an audio jack adapter that directly plugs into the stock headunit (connects to the back or something).

 

I added a 10" sub for a little extra kick. Honestly anything louder than that combination is a good recipe for hearing loss...
