Anyone who has the Continental contiextremecontact

for the last time, DO I KEEP THESE AT THE RECOMMENDED ACURA CL TIRE PRESSURE OF 32. If not, where should they be at, for best handling and treadware....34-36?

If you only got 10k out of the stock Michelins, something is seriously wrong. Either your alignment is fucked or you beat the hell out of them.

I just got the Conti's and the shop set them to 36psi.

hows the handling at 36psi. And the stockers are a piece of shit, my alignment test showed everything was fine. I corner hard, but those stocks sucked ass.

The handling is ok. Not great, but OK. I had Dunlop 5000's before and they're definitely better tires, but almost $200/tire wasn't in the budget this time around. They're definitely easier to break lose with the clutch than the Dunlops were when they were new. I don't corner like I want to die so I can't really say how they'd do for you. The sidewall is softer which does make the steering response not as crisp.

damn ... I thought I was bad when I got 26K out of my stock. Renegade, you got to do something very wrong to have them worn out at 10K.. the Continental is 400 threadwear and you got a bar showing up at 10K? I got 16K and more out of 280 Yoko. Stop those burn-outs

Read it again. He killed the stock Michelins in 10k but he's got a bar showing on the Conti's at 1800.

man i dont do any burnouts, i dont do any spinning from a stop, all i do is accelerate fast Im WOT about 10 times a day easy, and I corner hard. I still think i should be getting more miles out of the tires, alignment is fine and all. At about 13k (1,000 miles more) im gonna have my 15k service. How much should those costs?

Re: Anyone who has the Continental contiextremecontact

I'm in the same boat as you.

I bought the Contis 2-3 weeks ago.
They had them at 40 psi and then I went back because I heard a high pitch noise (hum, whistle) coming from the tires.
They lowered them to 32 psi but the guy who installed them said he would not go below 33 psi ???????

Nowhere can I find where there are coming up with these numbers (other than some dark place where the sun don't shine)

On the tire sidewall it does state to use the "recommended manufacturer's tire pressure".

I'm at a loss

Help

Did you get the tires?

How do you like them?

What pressure did they use?

Cheers
