There is nothing wrong with the tan interior. If you don't wipe your ass properly, then you have a problem. Give me a break!

Advice for those keeping their cars a long time. Nothing beats black in the long haul. Nothing wrong with tan, but over time, the dirt is always visible. IMO, tan discolors worse over time as well. Black is very easy to clean and take care off.

In black leather, I tend to play rap. In the tan leather, I tend to play R&B.

You mind if I quote this in my signature for awhile, I'm tired of some of the IS piss ants 'round here lately...

Black or grey is the only way to go....it ages so well. Tan leather looks like shit in a couple of years. Nothing worse than seeing a car with crusty tan leather.

Wow, I have had tan leather on sevral cars in the past. I have never had a dirt or cracking issue.
I guess it pays to clean it.

The entire idea that Tan would crack faster than black seems wrong on the face of it. How would color influence the drying out of the leather? It reflects light more than black... that should be a good thing. DIrt will effect both the same, it may not show on black as much, but if you detail, you'll be more likely to clean what you can see.

I would bet that there is a greater influence on where you live and if you smoke that the color that they tan the leather.

To me, a black interior is sporting and a tan interior is more luxurious.

Mine is Nighthawk black on parchment, which is growing on me. However, I test drove a black on black with silver metallic inserts in place of the wood trim - very sweet.

of course, parchment would look gay on silver IMO...
not the best on white either.

I personally prefer a nice gray, 'gay' or not, but Honda usually makes you choose between black or tan only (yea BMW!). I think color choices on Acuras in and out are poor compared to the German cars.
I am totally opposite most of the posters, I think tan lasts much longer than black and stays cleaner looking. Just like a black car looks dirtier faster than a light car. Black leather, esp in Acuras looks worse when it ages cause the cracks are lighter color. Cracks don't look as bad on the light leather. Plus black is a killer in the TX heat. I think black looks good tho, tired of the tan.
