Anyone sold their '01 private party?

How's the market, especially in SoCal? I know you always get more by selling instead of trading. I'm just concerned about how long it might take to sell it. When I got my CL, I wrote the dealer a check for $5000 on delivery and they gave me 10 days to pay the balance. That gave my time to sell my old car. But my last car was much cheaper and had low miles making it easier to dump quickly. How long did it take to sell your car for a reasonable price?

still trying to sell your car? I might be interested in like 2 months. I am going to upgrade from a 1st gen. But I am looking for the cheapest type s I can find, and your probably not selling your baby cheap. I'll probably be looking on ebay or local dealer. let me know how much though.

No unfortunately not I love the car and it seems that Acura really hit the nail on the head with the 6MT. However, I am not going to pay out the ass for it. I could sell my car private party and then put down like 10-15k(after months of saving every extra penny) down on the car to keep the payments i have right now. The car is beautifal and i think the 6MT will rival the legend 6MT but pretty much shot my load with the '01 and can't justify paying more so soon. So, i'm looking into the WRX or v6 MT Accord that will be released in the fall. We'll see......

Don't count on the V6 Accord saving you much money--the current sticker on that car is right around 25K.

Actually I think 22K for 2001 CLS is pretty good since you can now get brand new 2002 CLS for 26K.
