don't believe it will work. I recently tried to swap a set of Konig Toxxins from my (former) Y2K Maxima wearing 235/45/17's to my new '03 and the wheels/tires extended beyond the fenders. Didn't see any problems with inner clearance, however had the feeling that any bottoming out might end up with the wheel being shredded - and this is at stock height. If you've put aftermarket springs on the vehicle, from my observation this definitely will not work!

Huh ?

Mine's dropped 3" in fronts & 2.5" in rears, & they're tucked inside the fender wells ...

Initial slight rub in fronts & rears when car hits a big dip @ high speed. After rear fender roll, trim a little plastic in fronts, hasn't rubbed for two years yet...

18x7.5 w/ 42+, 225-40-18 ...no problems...test fitted kumho's 235-40-18 and it would have rubbed like crazy...do different tires have that much of sidewall differences?

yes they do, especially when the sizes are different. the 235's are 10 mm wider than the 225's, which makes them slightly taller too. actual dimension can vary from one manufacturer to another even though the tire size (numbers) are the same.

Hey guys, I am running 235/35/19s on a 19X8 rims with a 45+ offset. I also have a race drop. I only had rubbing on dips and it came from the back. I did a home job of rolling the back two fenders and like Charles said the rub went away.
BTW these rims have only been on the car for two weeks! I love them.

Well I'd recomend using the small end of a metal bat, which I didn't have, so I used the rubber covered handle of a fair size hammer. By placing handle between the tire and the Rear fender (fronts can't be rolled the same way, i.e. Charles talking about cutting plastic), I used the tire edge as a fulcrum point and pushed down on the Hammer/Pull end causing the handle to push a small portion of the fender out. Then I moved the handle a little bit down the fender and repeated this process across the whole length. Be careful to take you time and ensure that the paint doesn't crack. Secondly, mine looks fine from the out side, but one can feel the multiple small indentions (not cracks) by rubbing your hand underneath the fender, hence why I feel that the usauly recommended baseball bat would work better!

Forgot to mention that my Toxxins are of the 17 x 7.5 variety.
Don't know if the 18's make enough difference, but my eyes
weren't lying
