I was wondering if anyone has removed the big "A" emblem on the trunk. I know it has 2 holes behind it. How did you have it filled, and how much did it cost? Did the whole trunk have to be repainted?

 

i removed the "A" emblem along with everything else and put the type S symbol to cover the holes... you can search in ChodTheWacko's FAQ, you'll see a couple of pics in there. didnt think about smoothing it all out since my car was leased. goodluck tho

 

What color is your car. Because black CL with black emblems = HOT

 

usually the only way to fill up the holes is to use bondo i think and have the trunk repainted or have that area blended. not sure which would be done though by the body shop.

IMO though i'd keep the Acura emblem

 

I just put the smaller one on top of the holes.

Yea i removed mine, but to paint it black. There are the 2 holes, but around the holes isnt smooth, it is kinda concave from when they made the holes or whatever. I would assume 300-500 to get that done.

 

using bondo is one way to do it but the correct way would be to weld the holes closed then smooth out the metal with bondo

The body shop had to repaint the whole trunk lid.

 

WTF did they have to put holes in the trunk for that ugly badge. I think the amount of badges on the rear is a little much, but I much more dislike the Acura badge than the letters. Oh well I guess, because I aint paying to have the trunk repained.
