Anyone raced bikes here?

I was on 55 S the other day, i was in the TLS and my girl followed behind in her CLS (how gay are we?) IN any event a couple of beavis and butthead bike riders came up behind us and were hanging all around my girls car the "lead" guy was even pompous enough to point her out to his friends (kinda pissed me off but then I thought go ahead and j/o to my girl later fag!!)

IN any event he rolls past and I notice a nice stretch ahead, so I dropped into second as he waited for his boys and gunned it, i ran up behind him about 2 car lenghts and got off it (don't need to kill some homo on his bike) then i hear him hit it (sounded like he dropped a gear but it could have just been him hitting the gas) but since i was still in second i was gaining on him.... then I hear him WAHHHHHHH, def. dropped a gear and I shift to third he gains a little ground but nothin major, then WAHHHHHH he drops again and we run he constantly pulls on me (but not much) I shut it down around 100+ he kept running to about 120 i guess... I wasn't that impressed though, he had the nicest bike of the lot, and the other fags (with really shitty bikes) wanted no parts....

So the question is, should we pester lil 600 size bikes just for a good race to 80? Or does this guy not know how to drive his POS bike?

The guy doesn't know how to ride or he was playing with you. A 600cc bike would put multiple bike lengths on you from a 20-80 roll...they are wicked fast, running anywhere from high 10's to mid 11's in the 1/4. Unless you are driving a BPU+++ Supra don't even think about it.

front-line 600cc repli-racers are capable of running high 10s at 135 mph in the 1/4 mile.

even the previous generation 600s could run it in well into the 11s.

hell, my old gsf400 could do it in about 13 flat.

dunno what that guy's problem was, but you'll probably find it difficult to "pester" a 600 in a straight line with your acura.

Yeah, he must have been a total retard.... evident by his antics on the road.

Don't get me wrong he still f-ed me up, but not at all what I expected... How about the shitty bikes, old 80's style??? still no contest?

well, you're certainly more likely to find a victim in the pre-90's bikes, but it still won't be easy pickings.

seriously, with a type s, it'll need to be either really old (think '60s) or really small displacement (<400ccs, preferably a twin or single) for you to even run close.

if you wanna run high speed, a lot of the older bikes top out at 115 or so due to aerodynamics (and high speed wobbles ).

the problem with picking on the older bikes is that they all tend to look alike to the untrained eye (and they generally don't have fairings with the brand and model name emblazoned across them) so you don't really know what you're pulling up next to.

getting a vmax or a v65 magna confused with a seca 550, rebel 250, or ltd 440 is an excellent way to embarrass yourself (even if you're on a motorcycle as well).

I only tried to race a bike once and his bike ended up breaking down or some shit.

I'll go hunting for some when I get the superblowercharger put on, but I wouldn't want to test very many bikes with a CL-S.

well, I'm pretty sure that even with that 16 penny nail in my tire, I could have beaten a 14.2 @ 105.

you could bring your little garter snake over to my place this weekend and we could find out...

Racing bikes have 150 HP on 450lb bike + driver (200lb) that is 650 lbs for 150HP!!

For the bike: It would be 4.33 HP for each lb

In comaprison the CLS has 3550 lb + driver = 3750 lbs for 260 HP or
For the CLS: It would be 14.44 HP for each lb

No comparison!

Need more power... get this: (Motorcycle Online's published dyno chart showed nearly 165 horsepower at the wheel, coupled with a peak of 92 foot/pounds of torque -- more than 75 foot/pounds all the way from 4,000 to 11,000 rpm )

Yeah everyone pretty much nailed it. A 600 will spank you.

I have a 97 CBR 600 and it has ran an 11 second quarter mile. The newer ones are high 10's with an exceptional rider.

He probably didnt know how to ride it, cause he sounded like a retard anyways.
