Anyone loose power steering fluid?
Seems every 2 months or so I have to add power steering fluid. It gets below the low level line. Strange thing is there's are no signs of a leak. I was under the car with my flashlight & checked. There are no wet spots, nothing from the cooler, or lines. Nothing dripping, no signs.
The has been happening about the last year. Never happened before.
I'm at 96K miles.

im losing a bit but not too much. I thought it had something to do with my CT strut bar since my ps pump has been whining ever since I put the bar on and I know there was an issue with clearance with the CT bar...but I've been checking lately and I haven't lost much fluid at all. I lost the most during summer time?

Its very easy to overtighten the ps pump when replacing the belt. So the pulley itself may not be the only cause. For example, Ive been running mine for about 60k miles so far, no issues. Knock on wood.

underdrive only underdrives the power steering at idle..
so if you drysteer alot then yea... not good
but as long as your not driving in parking lots going 3mph turning all over the place then you are good.
tightening that stupid tensioner is finicky tho..
when i upgraded to OBX racing pulley for the power steering and re-tightened it... the pump was screaming loud... and then just went away (thank god).. so just be careful when you replace the belt or anything.

Back to a MT!
My rack is leaking too. The dealer told me the valves is where the leaking. the top of the rack is covered in fluid and dust and I need to add fluid every few months. Has anyone added the Lucas Power Steering Condition that is supposed to stop leaks and quiet PS pumps?

My mechanic was looking at it again & yeah the rack is leaking too. Same spot as you guys, top of the shaft.
I'm going to ignore it for now. Just add fluid. With this, the flex pipe, the Timing belt & clutch I'm looking at $2600 give or take to get everything done. Not sure if I'm going to spend the $.
I'm at 98K. IDK why every car I ever had seems to die or have major fixes at the 100K mile mark.

Ok so yesterday i Replaced the tie rods inner and outer ones the reason why change them was knocking sound when while i was moving steering wheel. I have to say the noise is still there it sounds like thats steering gearbox is making that sound its not bad nothing that you feel but u can barelu hear it. Also i found out where was my rattle was coming from i thought it was flex pipe but it wasnt. I was missing bolt on the back header and i had leak.
