anyone know what this code means?
I have a 2002 TLS, and I took it to autozone to get the code pulled. It came back as P0740 TCC Circuit Malfunction. I looked it up online, and all I came up with was that TCC stands for Torque Converter Clutch. Anyone know what this means? anyone know how to fix it? do I need to take it to the dealer, because my warranty just ran out 3k miles ago. Any help? thanks!

Sounds like a trans code...your '02 TL-S has a 7year 100k mile warranty on the trans. Even though the trans may be shifting well, there could still be a code set. Take it to the dealer.

That is not a transmission code. That's an electical malfunction.

DTC P0740:Problem in Lock-up Control System.
Usually will indicate low line pressure.
1) Measure the line pressure going to all 5 clutches (shouldn't be lower than 120psi)
2) If the pressure is too low, repair the hydraulic lines, if the pressure is okay, replace the TCC solenoid and the automatic transaxle clutch pressure control solenoid valve set.
3) Remove the back up fuse in the passenger's under-dash fuse box for 10+ seconds
4) Start engine, allow car to reach operating temperature
5) Drive the car at 55 MPH for 1+ minutes.
6) Check again for DTC P0740.
7) If the code remains, replace the transmission.
