Anyone know how reliable Xephyr is?

I emailed him for some info on when his CAI would be in stock, and no response yet.

I'm also wondering about those that said they waited a while before getting their stuff, how long did you have to wait?

I definately want the Xephyr over the AEM -- but not at the cost of going insane cause of poor customer service. That's my own pet-peeve and i'll buy the inferior product just out of spite

Well. I emailed him Friday and no response as of yet.

So much for wireless access.

On the other hand, his product seems to be reliable... hes just a pain to get ahold of.

He is a really nice guy and has great ideas. It just is really hard to get a hold of him. I was really going to go for his CAI, but I didn't get a response back for such a long time, that I went with the AEM.

He does provide the bypass valve and short ram conversion that is very cool. When people finally get his product, they seem very happy.

I think he will look at this and figure it out. He's running a new business, so he is trading off between:

1. Customer relations
2. Sales
3. Engineering
4. Procurement
5. Delivery/Shipping
6. Quality control
ETC

So, Xepher is big boy and will weigh the customer relations vs. R/D and other stuff.

I personally hate not being contacted by vendors WHEN they promise (I won't mention them right now, but you would be surprised)

guys, he's a one man show. he can only do so much at one time. now, i have no idea how many people are waiting on him to make/ship one of his CAI's but for being one person with what i'm assuming to be a high-demand product, he's doing pretty good. i've heard of no one that has complained after they've received his product. i had mine installed by Xeph himself (Chris) and by the looks of his personality and lifestyle, he's a VERY busy person as it is. just give him some time and you wont regret it.

i have a q for ya...does the cai feel secure. i mean does it bolt to the frame of the car. or is it just hanging there. from the pics on his site there is no brace. personally i would get it right now if that was resolved.

Look Closer,
It does bolt to the frame. If I find a pic I'll post it.

Yes, it is attached to the cross brace.
If you go to this photo and view it FULL SIZE, you can see the above-mentioned clip installed in my car.
