I agree with JRock. I spoke with a local mechanic, and he told me that most cars with displacements smaller than say like a 4 liter will actually loose low end torque when a high flow systems are installed. Therefore, I think maybe that's why the Comptech exhaust is only axle-back, and it works so well. IMO.

BTW, we already have a fairly low restriction catalytic converter.
Also, if a converter is restrictive there can be definite gains by going to a free flowing unit on a 4 banger and even gain low end torque. But that is on a turbo application with the cat downstream of the turbine...
