Anyone have problems with stock CD player???

When I tried to eject a CD yesterday, I got this error message and it switched over to FM radio. I keep pushing the CD button, but it did the same thing over and over. Later, after I shut off for a couple hours, it started to play a CD, but as soon as I tried to select the "eject", I stared getting the error BS and it switches to the FM Radio.

Has anyone else had any problems with their CD player? Is it going out on me already???
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same thing happen when a CD got stuck inside. It was an old CD-R with one of those stupid stick-on labels on it. The tech at the dealer used a credit card to open the flap and guide the CD out while hitting eject. IIRC, the flap opens from the bottom up.. it's a PITA to flip open. Once you see the CD just guide it out.

My CD is an original one w/ NO paper label...but, I will try to fish it out as suggested.
Maybe I should unload all the CD's and shoot a squirt of silicone lubricant spray down the sides of the ejection mechanism, as it would seem that it is sticking up!???

mine has a problem ejecting some burned discs. you either have to push down on the disc w/ a knife or bang on the side of the console.

if a disc is stuck it will give you an error message and change to radio.

i had the same problem a few weeks ago, i would push the CD disk # but then it would put it on the FM radio and then i try pushing eject it gives me an error message..so i was like WTF!!!! then i just turned off the whole system for about 10 seconds and then tried again and it worked, never had that problem again. Also my system is stock, no aftermarket stuff if that matters...

Mine did it consistantly. I don't remember the exact error. I think it was Error E1. Anyways I had the unit replaced under warrenty and it's been fine since. And I never use burned cds.

Unfortunately, I'm out of warranty so if it needs replaced, I'm going to be out of pocket.

By chance, did you get to find out the approximate cost to replace.

I never asked about the replacement cost as it was a warranty replacement. I did check acuraautomotivepart.org and they have it for $650. You might talk to your dealer about a core swap if they do that. Give them your busted one for refurb. Might save you a few bucks. Or time to consider an after market head unit.

it's beginning to happen to me more frequently. it happens when the interior temp is high. i need to pound on the side of the console as well as the face of the unit it convince it to spit out the disc or change discs.
