Anyone have a dashboard mat?

I just got myself a 2001 CL-S White w/"parchment" interior. The dash reflects too much damn light, so I was thinking of getting a dashboard mat, both to cut the relfection and to add a level of protection. Anyone have one? Any recomendations? What color would best match "parchment" if you've got one and have that interior color. Thanks!

get sunglasses if there is too much light.

and you don't need it for 'protection'...the new plastics used in cars won't crack or anything....that only happens to older cars.

Dash mats cause 2 things:

1. Cracks on dash. How? You think you're protecting the dash and reducing glare, but what you're actually doing is trapping heat under the dash cover. Think about it: would you use a blanket to cover yourself on a hot day? Trapped heat over time = accelerated damage to dashboard. Don't believe me? Try it for two years and see what happens underneath after removing it. Seen it tons of times.

2. Safety issues with airbag deployment. Dashcovers impede airbag deployment (passenger side) and can also affect the path of deployment. Instead of aiming toward the passenger, it gets sidetracked because it ends up pulling the whole dash cover off.

not true. i have an 03 TL-S that i got in June of '02... it has spent more time in the shade/garage than it has in the sun and the vents on top of the dash by the windshield, the dash is warped. if i go out side and look at the vents at an angle, i can see the yellowish foam that the dash is made out of. this is also happening to the rear drivers side armrest... and i have 35% tints as well.

My car has been in direct sun for 3 years and have had no issues. About once a year on the big car detail I put some Armoral (sp) Matte Color and i have no problems

Mine is doing the same thing with the vents. I had thought about a dash cover but decided just to live with the yellow foam seeing my warranty just ran out.
