Anyone have any contact with PSPEC Tuning about their SS Kit for 2gen CL?

I was looking around and came across this company, PSPEC Tuning. It seems they are in development for a short shift kit for our 2gen CL-S. I was curious has anyone been in contact with anyone from PSPEC and/or have heard anything about this kit.

I know they make one for the 1gen CL, and after searching it seems the 1gen guys are happy with it.

Neuspeed makes a short throw shifter for the CL-S. I can't believe they'd even bother developing a short throw shifter this long after the car has been off the market but I guess. I shot them an email. We'll see what they say.

i have been trying to contact this guy for over a year with no luck from email to AIM. It looks like his products are pretty tight, but it seems he has made no progress on our kit in the last year and makes no attempt to inform anyone of his plans. Get the neuspeed shifter, a small shift knob, some RSX shifter bushings and try bypassing the CDD on the framerail for the best shifting possible

Ok, i guess all i had to do was make a comment and i finally got in touch with the guy. I spoke with him via IM for about 10 minutes and he explained the development. They are using the 6th gen accord kit on our car and someone is testing it out and claims its kinda close to the e-brake but does not touch it...thats in 6th and/or reverse of course, and im sure it would have to be closer when in reverse and not as bad in 6th gear. anyway he told me i could order one and if i didnt like it he would refund me. I am thinking about doing it and if i like it i will let you guys know about it probably in a new thread and sell my neuspeed adapter to the first bidder. PSPECs shifter is height and throw adjustable so it would be really nice to have that instead of the adapter IMO. I will keep ya posted

That would be me, i am his tester for that kit. I wasnt going to let the cat outha the bag but since he already mentioned it here goes. The kit fits perfectly into our shift frame but it sits to the right about a quarter inch further than stock. So becauuse of this you have to shave the shift boot frame quite a bit and use double sided tape to keep that shift plate attachted to the console. Weve been trying to figure out a good fix for this for atleast 3 months now but were about to give up. The shifter does get close to the ebrake in reverse but still plenty of room before it actually hits. The kit is great and the throws are greatly reduced, depending on your adjustment. Ive had my kit in for about 4 months now without problems, if we get a fix ill be sure to post. I have pix too but wont post until im told its ok

Ah, now that makes sense. when i am in 1st, 3rd, and 5th with my neuspeed adapter, the shifter pops the boot frame up over the console just enough to get on my nerves, so i can imagine with the shifter 1/4 inch to the right it would easily hit the boot frame in reverse or maybe even 6th. I hope you can get him to make another one, but after speaking to him it sounded like he didnt want to redesign one over 1/4 of an inch, and it sounded like he didnt understand your issues, as he didnt mention that to me. I would love to have that nice piece of work in there, but i really don't feel like shaving my shifter boot frame or hacking things up too much. KEEP US POSTED PLEASE!!

I recall it being re-designed too. They had changed it so it would no longer hit the boot surround in 1st, 3rd, and 5th.

I think petes given up (Pspec) on our model car. The 6th gen accord kit will work but you have to trim your trim plate (the one that has the type S badge on it) He was going to make some adapters to move the shifter over a querter inch but decided that wasnt going to work and i havent heard from him in weeks so i think hes given up on it. Ill try calling him to see if anything new has come up, but dont be expecting anything. The 6th gen kit is a great kit though as long as you dont mind trimmin up that plate and using double sided tape to hold it down.

Its a lot better than just an adapter. Plus its adjustable. It comes with everything you need including a really nice anodized black boot trim ring so you can use your own aftermarket knob, or even a tsx knob or something for a clean look..Go to his webpage if you want to see pix. It may be a little expensive but its worth it

since neuspeed's discontinued, how much we have to cut? i was thinking of customizing that plate which holds the silver trim that says type-s on it anyways
