I remember back in March of 2000 going to the unveiling party of the CL at my local dealer after it closed for business one evening. Nice of them to give me food and drink. And a cool hat with Acura SLX on it, whatever that is.

It was cool... and there was a very pretty pimp daddy gold cl there.

It sold immediately, and the next car they got in was a white w/o navi, and I bought the next one, my white w/navi baby!

Anyone else do something similar or buy one immediately after they came out?

 

All Memories now ! I do remember that PDG car on the lot ! Then they got a black, red, white and I bought the black one on 05-01-2000 ! An older gentleman was buying the red one. We both waited in the dealership etc......What happened to the momentum ? Marketing, bad trannies , Marketing, too much like a Honda Accord...............................? I'm happy I bought and will keep for a long time ! My car will turn 3 years this May and it looks brand new ! NO-ONE will help me post pictures of my pad and toys, so you can't see my CALIFORNIA ANAL CLEAN CAR !

 

Acura SLX...wasn't that the rebadged Isuzu Trooper that Acura sold for a year or 2? Totally fugly.

I had a '98 2.3CL and as soon as I heard about the 2001's I put an order in. I picked mine up on March 23, 2000. I think I was one of the firsts at that dealer.
