Anyone ever heard of SPEC clutches

Anyone ever heard of these? I found a place a long time ago when i first bought my car that sells SPEC clutch kits for the 6 speed CL in stages 1, 2, 2+, 3, 3+, 4, & 5. The place that sells them is called LMPerformance, but i was wandering if any fellow 6-speeders have ever heard of them or tried one of the clutches. It seems that they have clutches for TSX and TLs as well. I am also trying to figure out if they can be used with aftermarket flywheels like UR, since they do not sell a flywheel for the CL. I only have 48k on my car now, but it sure would be a nice ride with a clutch and flywheel.

BTW: Can our transmissions be dropped out to do a clutch? or do you have to drop out the engine too? I hope not

I had a SPEC Stage III clutch on my '03 Cobra (+700HP) and it was great. I know many Mustang owners have them and like them. There's a member here that had the SPEC on his CL-S and said it was no better then the stock clutch. I recall others having issues with aftermarket flywheels though.

Used them quite a bit for MR2s ... they have a whole range for the 3SGTE motor.

Some members on the MR2 owners list (www.mr2oc.com) have reported problems with SPEC clutches/pressure plates/bearings. You can do a search there for yourself.

From what I've read on here, the CL app has a repainted stock PP. The clutch disk may or may not be a better unit(can't get a real answer on this) It will only use a stock flywheel.

Unless your FI running some serious mods & HP, the stock clutch holds up fine.
