Anyone comment on Pilot A/S durability?

I've only driven on my Mich. Pilot A/S for about 3000 miles now. So far so good... Anyone who has em' or know someone who has em', AND has put some decent mileage on them comment on their wear, road noise, etc???

Just curious...

I've had them for about that long. So far so good. Overall they are better than stock but I can spin them VERY easily. Are they worth the $.......yeah as long as these will not be your track tires.

Road noise was bad at first but they are ok now.

Scrib,

I have about 14,000 miles on mine and they are worn down to 6/32", so one can extrapolate that I will get ~ 28,000 miles maximum from this set. (I will probably get rid of them @ ~ 25,000, because of the fall off of performance toward the end of the treadlife.) They may not be great for wear, but they are great for performance wet & dry, road noise is at the low end of the scale (that's good).

Are you an aggressive driver? I was hoping to see more than 25,000 out of these things...

Scrib,

Compared to most drivers, I would have to say yes, I am an aggressive driver. However, remember these are Maximum Performance Tires. High Performance All-Season Tires that I have had in the past on other vehicles, I would get 35K - 40K miles (my driving style would remain the same, regardless of the vehicle).

I have 27,000 on the stock Michelins and they are not even half worn as yet.

No silly... :P I'm not asking about the stock Michelins (MXM4s or whatever), rather the Michelin Pilot A/S. A different tire in a MUCH higher league.
