Anybody tried the cordless Escort?

Has anybody used the cordless Escort? I love the idea of being able to take it with me and use it on rental cars (I travel quite a bit for work). Do you think it's good enough to be worth the $329? I know it won't be as good as a V1, but is it good enough to do the job? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

You're better off spending the extra $70 and getting the V1. Not only that... but cordless detectors generally are not as good as corded detectors... so you'd even be better off with the Passport 8500 which is around $300

I have a cheap cordless Beltronics radar detector and it has saved my @$$ many times. I have never had a V1 so I can't compare the two. The Bel was only $150. You do chew through a few batteries though so that is a drawback.
