Anybody know anything bout speakers in '96 TLs??
My friend just bought a '96 TL (pic below)
He's replacing his front speakers and I told him they were 5 1/4.
Everywhere I've looked says 5 1/4.
BUT... some TL guys are telling him 6.5... some are saying 5 1/4.
Anybody know the truth before I have to go over there and measure them myself?
If I want to get at the speakers I can just remove the grill right? I know I'd have to take door panel off to take them out. But to measure them I mean.

most Honda's come with 5.25's OEM......however, Honda tends to use an opening conducive to 6.5. If you look at the OEMs the chassis is wide but the cone (paper no less 
) is tiny.
Tip? When the door panel comes off line the door with Dynamat to seal off better than the factory plastic does. Odds are most of the adhesive is shot to shit anyway.
