My 01 CLS is bone stock and I bought it brand new. As I was cleaning the engine this weekend I noticed three wires coming out of the top of the engine bay fuse box. The wires struck me as odd because they were wedged in between the seam of the fuse box preventing the box from completely snapping shut. Almost like they were an after thought. If I remember correctly the wires are blue, green, and yellow? Any body know what they are for and why they would be coming out of the top of the engine bay fuse box? Thanks!

how did the wires tap into the fuse box?

 

Bill. Do you have a digi. camera to take a picture and post? I don't have anything like that, but maybe this will help jog someone's memory.

 

Pop the top of the box and see where they go.
That might help you/us figure it out.

No, that's the wierd thing the car is bone stock and I bought it brand new. There was .03 miles on the odo when I drove it out of the show room in July 00.
