there is 1 screw that holds in each road lamp, on the inside side of the road lamp. feel the black plastic right next to each road lamp on the inside and you'll feel a notch cut out so a screwdriver will fit in. right next to the notch is a cylinder part that holds a phillips head screw. unscrew it and pop out the roadlamps.
either that or just do what the manual says and reach in from under the car.

I broke 1 when i was installing it on my sis's. I just took a towel , slowly and carefully pull the remaining out, it had 2 little area that i could hold at first, but while pulling out i broke 1 of them, so i just held the remaining side even lighter and just slowly pulled it out. Just dont squeeze or pull out straight, try to pull out and move it side to side a little. Not as hard as I thought it would be.
