There currently isn't a supercharger for the CL's period. They haven't released the CL supercharger as of yet...they are aiming for the end of the year I think.

do you know who (as in what company) is planning on producing a supercharger and how much power can a person expect to gain?

Couple of things

1- Search feature is VERY useful it's up in the right hand corner

2- Comptech will use a roots eaton blower running at 8psi and the accord showed a 50-60HP gain....it might've been slightly lower like 40hp or something not sure. I suspect that it might be a little more with our engines.

3- We are always willing to help on this board but you must realize that it gets kind of tiresome when people ask the same question over and over again. It is just wasted bandwith

I know, it makes me feel good answering people's ?'s instead of telliing them to answer the search engine...just think if everyone used the search engine...we would hardly come to the technical aspect of the forum

Someone needs to come up with a centrifugal kit for the CLS....that would be sweet.

I just worry that the postive displacement blower won't put the power out without pulleying it down and beating up the air a lot.

You guys think comptech would still release the supercharger? I mean it will only work with 99-03 TLs and 01-03 CLS, and thats about it. How much of a demand will it have? CLS will be dis-countiuned, and the 04 TL is suppose to be new, so who knows if the SC would fit in it 04 TL.

But i guess on the other hand, comptech should release it so they can make some of their money back that was invested in that project. So yea i dunno im just babbling.

Comptech Supercharger is only 4-5 PSI not 8!...

Since the CL has 6-speed now, it would be nice to Supercharger this sucker add some racing clutch and blow it to 8-12 PSI...

Oh wait a sec CL-S has a high Compression pistons (10.5) so better get a 100+ octane/colder plugs or do something about it...

But can you say rubber cooking feast

I think so. They're pretty far along and there are over 200k potential customers now and the 03 Tls and up to 04 CLs.

Yeah, and extensive mods like blowers seem to start to really take off several years after a particular model's debut since the cars start to come out of warranty, more are starting to circulate used where "serious" enthusiasts can pick them up cheaper to mod them, etc.

A comparison to the old 5.0 Mustang might not be totally applicable here, but they sell more blower kits for those now almost 10 years after they were in production than they did when they were current.
