just get a 2.2-2.3 60 foot and u can prolly go 14.8-15.0ish
Get some wheels and tires and you'll be in the mid 14s without any engine or exhaust mods.

scalbert, I'm not sure the 1200' will hurt you much, but the weather this time of year in Georgia, high humidity/dew points can really hurt.

Yeah... 1200' is around 2/10ths.. I think. I got a correction factor of 1.5/10ths for 900' (Bakersfield). Humidity would suck though! Well... it will prevent detonation

So can we blame no slips on this crappy weather or am I just too pushy on the subject?

Well, actually yes. As previously mentioned I was planning on going a couple of weeks ago. But the ever present thunderstorms canceled that trip to Atlanta Dragway.

Since then the track has not been open to the public; they have had some proffessional events. The next opportunity I get will be on Friday, June 13th which I do hope to make. After that I doubt I will be going for quite some time as the twins could be expected at anytime.

To you other guys bitching:

Try making time for the track every week considering...

I planned on going until I found out I had fuel issues which are now sorted out. But now I am not allowed to go...

So we need to look to someone else...

Yeah, no kidding.. I just started to mod and I'm hooked. I just last Friday installed the Icebox to a stock '03 CL-S auto and I can feel the power already, although I know I need to wait some more time for the computer to fully adjust. It's definately got more pull than driving it immediately after the install. I will definately go w/ headers, springs, sways, maybe Koni's, but I'm very curious about the S/C with an Auto tranny as well.

Hopefully someone will post some info to enlighten us all ;-)

Hrmmm, from what I am aware of there are four on this board so the wide spread use is limited negating any flood of track runs. But I guess you only perceive 1320' runs as using the vehicle and spirited mountain driving is of little consequence?? Or even commuting to and from work does not allow someone to use the blower??

Or do I detect some personal vendetta?? :P

If you're answering the original question... I would have expected at least mid 13s for a SCd CLS or even high 12s.

i would hope to see at least a 105mph trap speed....types1967 put down as much as i did with a 75shot and i trapped 107 with that...and with the 100shot it was 109, but i think i was putting close to 315fwhp then...who knows, but i would like to see some slips plus the dyno sheet just to see the comparison...

I think the S/C'd 6-speeds will run 13.7 to 13.8 @ 105 IF they get traction.

not necessarily. comptech has a reputation to maintain. they also warranty their stuff which means they want to be absolutely sure of their sc kit. they could of made it more powerful, but then again reliability might have made it tricky. however, i do agree with you if you mean the sc kit for auto sucks, it really does. the only guys who it is a worthwhile investment is the 6Sp.

Low E.T's don't necessarily make a good S/C kit!! It's the overall driveability, reliability etc. If Comptech just cared about E.T's, they would have made a turbo Heheh... that's a joke! Comptech would have set things up differently if they only cared about E.T's.

i'm sayin i can drop over a half second on my ET w/ 340 dollar headers, while you cant even drop a full second of your ET w/ a 4k blower

You assumed that a half second was entirely attributed to headers?? Even though they show a gain at the higher revs and most do not see that type of difference?? Based on experience with this car along with what others have seen and witnessed; the improvement came by way of many factors; the headers being only a portion of it.

As I offered before (openly, not to you but since we are now discussing the matter I will direct it to you) and was seemingly dismissed, I would bet $500 that you could not come down here and run below a 15.00. I would expect closer to the 15.2 range actually. In comparison, if a CL-S6SC ran a 13.75 on the same day, by your statement it would not be worth the money. But it is still 1.5 seconds faster. That is certainly a significant difference.

In other words, you have to consider the relevance of the times.

Oh and BTW, many people add power not to drag race or just to talk about times. They actually enjoy their cars on the road or road course. When hitting mid apex and not needing to go down two gears, just one is needed, but coming out of the turn just as fast is very nice. Being on the highway and leaving it in the top gear while passing with ease is also nice.
