Any interest in a LSD for our cars?

Hey Guys,
Quafe responded to an email inquiry that I sent to them asking about producing a limited slip differential for the CL/TL cars. If 10 to 15 people would be interested in purchasing, they are willing to produce them for our cars. The increase in traction and the improvement in handling would be a stellar mod for our cars.
Kevin
P.S. I accidentally deleted the reply, so I can't tell you who exactly to direct it to but please send it to www.quaifeamerica.com and let them know that you own a CL or TL model and would be interested.

What price range are they estimating? How difficult of an installation might it be? And what do the experts around here think about this?

We have an open differential in our cars now. They are designed so that power is transfered through the path of least resistance. This means that power is actually being sent to which ever wheel is spinning. With a LSD, power is transfered to the wheel that has grip. This will help in straight line aceleration/traction. When cornering, the outside front wheel is "loaded" while the inside wheel is "unloaded". In this case read unloaded as the path of least resistance. So, power the unloaded wheel and it spins, it does not grip. In this scenario, the LSD would send power to that outside front wheel. Remember it is loaded, and has grip. The result, is that loaded wheel with its grip or traction receives the power and actually pulls that front outside wheel around, litterally helping you to finish that turn more easily and without all that understeer.
Someone else asked about the price. I really have no idea except to say they (Quaife) sell them for the civic for $899. and about $1300. for Porsches.

Is this really an LSD or more like the no-slip differential that Powertrax sells which is closer to a locker?

I femember quaiffe costing around $1000. The thing about installing LSDs is the labor. They would have to remove the tranny to install it.
