any gains from CT tranny cooler

any gains from CT tranny cooler

when i was getting my car dyno'ed they noted that my engine doesnt get too hot but the tranny really does get hot. he said if i got a tranny cooler i could see some gains...

is this true??

I did extensive research on the CT cooler, and the B&M cooler before I got rid of my TL-s w/ three dying trannies... no performance gains that would be noticeable -- the real gains are just that your tranny (trannies) would have a longer life given that you are driving very aggressively.

i wonder how much life it would even add.....how lame.

Less slippage keeping fluid in the operating range? I know it keeps fluid from burning as quickly and shifts are more consistent - even after some hard runs. To me, it's worth it just because of the added driveability after adding the cooler. Not sure if there are any significant performance gains but I would doubt it.
