Any Carryover Problems from 2001 CL to 2002 CL
Are the same problems from the 2001 CL or S on the new 2002 or have they resolved most of them like the brakes and the tranny? Can't wait getting my 2002 cl in june of next year and I am only 18 years old and have 5 grand saved up right now. :P :P

Waaay to early to tell right now. It looks like that the tranny problems only affected a certain serial # range of tranny's, so one would guess that if it's fixed in the later 01's, the 02's should be fine. I wouldn't take that as an absolute, but it's a little more comforting. As time passes we'll see what happens with the '02s. You have to remember that every car has it's problems...just the '02 model may just have new ones we haven't heard about yet. Don't worry though, that's why we have a warranty!!

I would think that they fixed them, but nothing is realy known this early...by next June, there is a chance that the 2003's will be out, as they may be released early this spring with the 6 speed trany, but thats also not definite.

THere are new brake pads starting with the '02 TL.
They are supposed to be much nicer.
I HIGHLY doubt that they've fixed the tranny problem considering
people are still blowing replacement trannys. Unless they
can't fix old trannies and are just trying to get rid of them.
(I highly doubt that).
There's not much that is changed, tho. Take a peek at my FAQ.
