I recently purchased a 2002 Acura Cl-S automatic back in November. Got it off a physician whom applied the ocd cleaning aspect of doctors to the car. Beautiful car but 192xxx miles :/ from what ive read the trannies in automatics especially are crap.. I love the car and dont really wanna sell it and would love to do mods, however, the high mileage worries me.. What do you guys think?

Welcome!
You got the car already so you might as well roll the dice and see what happens its a great car if you don't have any tranny issues. I know my experience is the exception but I have owned 2 auto CL-S and not had any tranny issues (knocking hard on wood this moment). I will say that even for cars that don't normally have tranny issues some cars transmissions go before 193K. I have owned a Chrysler and BMW who's transmissions went out well before 193K so noone can guarantee you anything.

Yeah the guy before had it replaced under warranty because it would randomly shift down to 2nd, the tranny only has about 80k, just being overly cautious but thanks! Any suggestions on mods to start out with?

I would actually start saving for maintenance first before mods. You have a timing belt service due at 210k that can run between 600-1k dollars. In the mean time, I would change out the oil if it's due and the transmission fluid. You'll want to change out the transmission fluid regularly to help the transmission, some members do it every oil change.
Also start saving for a new transmission too.

Check the faq threads for good info. Check with dealer for any TSB recall notices and repairs you need to be aware of and serviced. Save money for a tranny replacement..or apply that towards swapping a 6 speed in there!
