annoying shake and rattle?
i have an 03 6speed CL-S with 4000 or so miles on now, but ever since i got the car i've noticed that when i turn the ignition off there is a loud and noticeable rattle sound with a little shaking. I went to back to the dealer to complain before i hit a 1000 miles and they compared it to another CL-S and said that it was normal, but said that mine was a little more noticeable because i lowered my car (H&R race springs). It doesn't seem like a normal thing that should happen. I mean when i park somewhere with a lot of people around and if they see my car and look then i turn it off it seems kind of embarrasing, cuz the car is new and suppose to be a sports luxury acura. also my brothers 03 TL-S doesn't do this either. ..Damn.. Oh and is it normal for the rear bumper to not be completely in place but not really taking off, like the corners closest to the tail lights? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated....

I have a 03 6 Speed also and i just hit 4k, but i do not have that problem. I don't have my car lowered yet, but that shouldn't make any difference. It might be a loose exhaust pipe or bad motor mounts. I wouldn't let the dealer bullshit you. About the bumber, it is normal for the cornors near the tail lights to be off a little. They are all like that, mine is like that. Its not that noticable, but its normal. Do you have an CAI, if you do, check and make sure its not loose. I hope this helps.

A shake and rattle? I had some kind of rattle right when I turned the ignition off. I asked the dealer and they found that the grill wasn't tightened. That fix stopped the rattling. The car may shudder a bit though. Does the car shake at idle or during drive? If so, perhaps it's the motor mounts.

Well my car is normal at all times except when i am shutting it off. I will go back to the dealer and complain then and ask to hear a CL-S on the lot for myself. It's just a loud rattling that lasts like 2-3 seconds with a mild shudder. Thanks guys
