Am I that unlucky? or is Canada just F***ed

Gates K060441 = Metric 6PK1120 = Goodyear 4060441

Gates K040425 = Metric 4PK1079 = Goodyear 4040425

I live in Canada and ALL i can get my hand on are these Goodyear gatorbacks (4040425=4PK1080) and (4060440=6PK1120)

now technically the first one is off by a FRACTION correct? and the second one is the correct one, just with a different code (4060440 instead of 4060441)?

I'm just dying to put this on and I cannot seem to resolve this belt issue. ANYONE?

This so weird.. One of the numbers matches and the other doesn't... why so difficult?

The alternator and A/C belt is 20mm x 1135mm (13/16" x 44- 3/4")

The power steering belt is 14mm x 1095mm (9/16" x 43-1/8")

So you need belts that are those exact sizes

Then wouldn't the part number be 4PK1095 and 6PK1135???

the last numerical digits represent "mm" so do you see how I'm so darn confused? :-s

SOMEONE SET ME STRAIGHT PLZ. W/E it takes. I just need to find these bad boys at any cost.

Only Gatorbacks that are stocked apparently are 6pk1130 and 6pk1140... so off by 5 mm...

BEter than 15 which is what i'm at right now... so should i go 5 more or 5 less? for the A/C belt

I forget which one is which on is thinner then the other but I forgot which one is which. You or the person doing the install will know which is which.

I just went on Goodyears website and looked on their belt reference chart and those belts will definitely wok.

Im looking at my Gates Belts right now and they say 4PK1081 and 6PK1121. The difference is 1/8" of an inch so you'll be fine, just be careful with that tensioner. Make sure your wrench is secured on the tensioner nut before you or someone else puts their hand in there to take out the belt.

Good Luck with the install

I am in the midst of purchasing a 1000ft/lb tq impact so I can solve this bull once and for all. I tried with other gun(s) and no dice. Time to go bigger. I can get it done locally for $90 CAD but I really wanna do it myself, and my buddies may chip with me cause we all have a use for it.

I've used those guns b4 to do all my other work on cars and never had a problem but damn, this bolt is a MOTHA

One on kijiji for 300CAD.. so... i just may go that way so I can do everything myself from now.

yes, you are shaving weight off of rotational mass. which is like taking about 13 lbs/1lb out of your car... and I hear this saves about 9 pounds SO 9 x 13 = 118lbs ...that's like driving without a gas tank ALMOST... however it also plays into other factors. But yes, this upgrade is a given instant gain that you SHOULD notice.

I'm not surprised you noticed it instantly. I did when I did this mod to my previous car. Either way, its like another CAI.. and I like these mods especially for my situation with the AT trans, because i head it helps shifting engagements.
