Alpha Works vs Comptechs

so i really only have the money for the AW headers because they are 400 buks. i was wondering, besides the price, what is the differecne in gains between the 2 headers? Is there a good batch and a bad batch? if i buy them new online, will i get the good batch? do they bolt right up without any problems? is there any interior droning or like resonance? id like a pretty much stock sound unless i floor it a little extra rumble or deepness is ok i just dont want any annoying sounds that will take away from the luxury chillness of cruisn in the CL

There won't be any real measureable difference in gains. The difference will be in fitment and potenial resonance. The fitment can be cured with a little extra work. If there is a resonance issue, you will ahve to learn to live with that.

Long term durability is a toss up. Most will last just fine with Comptech's probably being more likely to last.

I have them and it is very minor, I wouldn't worry about it. And I don't like cheap noises either.

i am having this dilema right now because I want the comptechs but, by the time you get them installed it will cost like $1200. I could get the AW for 385 and get them installed for under $500 total

The only thing that worries me is the resonance and shotty weld work. Also, I live in Minnesota and dont want them to rust to shit

The Alpha Werks headers I installed on my CL-S had no fitment issues nor any resonance. This has been the review of most ppl. A few ppl did have issues with the 02 sensor bung but the batch I have here has had their 02 sensor bungs located farther back to avoid this problem. I have been contemplating putting headers back on my car and I may just do so to show you the quality and fitment of the Alpha Werks headers.

BTW check this link for a good price on AW Headers GB
