You know for a long time, the cops haven't been able to sneak up on me. I thought that I drive so fast that I would clearly see any other car shadowing me; motorcycle the exception.

But just yesterday while I was flying up and down the 4-lane highway, I moved right to pass and while waiting for a hole (doing about 80), this Leawood police car came out of nowhere (don't they all) and passed me on the right (he must have been doing over 100); no lights, but with two guys in the car (which means traffic control here).

It was a reality check.

Other toughies to pickup in-time:

-Blacked out Statie sitting on the grassy shoulder at night with laser. I hate that. Almost got nailed the other night but, as luck would have it, there was a minivan blocking my view (almost perfectly) which blocked his view of me as well. I was in the Xterra which doesn't have the jammer but does have a V1.

-Speed trap teams. One cop sits on an overpass or the top of a highway entrance, hitting cars as they pass and then radioing ahead to his waiting buddies. Damn, that sucks! Need a jammer for the back end too.

-Instant On!

How good are those radar jammers...so let me get this straight the V1 just tells you when lasers are being shot near you and the radar jammer actually sends back a unusable signal to the officer. So wouldn't the jammers be more effective then?

Nope, it's not a radar jammer, it's a laser jammer. Radar jammers are illegal and, technically, laser jammer are still legal but falls under a grey area because it is interfering with an officer (but not physically) so who knows.

The laser jammer works great! I have no doubt of this. Tested with the local PD repeatedly, worked everytime. It's called the Blinder M10, cost $325 and was easy to install. The lenses need to be replaced one a year ($25).

Price is down to $299...

Blinder
