So earlier this week i took my car in for my 30k service and 2 diffrent rattling noises coming from my sunroof that they supposedly previously fixed. Well guess what? They put in a whole new sunroof! I almost shit my pants, they usually dont go too far out of thier way to fix your car so the problem never reoccurs but looks like this time they aimed to please... or they just couldnt fix it and said "fuck it lets just put in a new sunroof." I havent picked it up yet but they claim the rattles are gone, ill find out later today after work when i pick it up and let you guys know.

yup. they replaced my whole moonroof as well. They know me there though, so i kind of got hooked up.

Mine squeaked, when they fixed that (teflon tape) they made the headliner rattle instead. I gave up after that...

 

well when you have a W7, you're gonna have repeating rattles. lol After the install, i havent heard a single rattle. However, when my moonroof is fully open theirs this piece of plastic that rattles against the inside metal, but i dont think its fixable.

overall, everything seems to be fine.

Well, i drove it back from the dealership and guess what? Not one squeek, rattle or noise. About damn time i have a quite car.

looks like i spoke too soon, today on the way back from work the rattling came back. needless to say im pretty pissed.

 

i was gonna post up, but didnt . does it rattle when the moonroof is fully open? if so, theirs a plastic piece on the pass side of the moonroof that hits a piece of metal up there causing it to rattle when you hit a bump.
