I have the headers and they have been on for almost a year and the heat is not a problem. Jim

Cant install it. The excess heat isnt a big issue. On the oem set up its more of a safety issue for the consumer. I wouldn't wrap them. Read the fine print to see. Many header manufacturers say not to and will void the warranty if you do (not sure about comptech)

Alrighty, scratch it then.

As for warranty on comptech stuff, doesn't matter this point, they're out of business now.

forgot about that. Some recommend against it due to the extra heat in the header itself and not being able to handle it. Just double check to see if it says that any where?

Yea, I thougth about that too. Having too much heat could warp the headers couldn't it?
