The link below outlines the differences between the '01 and '02... considering the '02 is basically the same as the '03.. it should answer most of your questions: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...ht=differences

The changes exclusive to the '03 (in addition to those outlined in the link above) are: half clear/half red tails, blacked out headlight housings, removal of road lamps, painted grill, new rims, slightly different exhaust tips, and an optional 6-speed manual.....

interior-titanium kit, hand e-brake, butt warmers, cup holders, tach, no vsa button
engine/drivetrain/etc-6 speed tranny, throttle body closer to the head on 6 spd, LSD...thats about all i can think of off the top of my head

dude, heated seats are not exclusive to 2003....2001 and 2002 have that, in fact, the 2001 and 2002 have better switches for the seat warmers as their are 2 different levels of heat

i think what he means is the heated seats r 2-stage in '01 and 1-stage in the '03 which is considered a difference

same thing is the cupholders

tach goes from 8K to 9K

What there are no road lamps??? Is there at least the wireing and the balast?

Door handles the color of the car? Are they metal or plastic? If a silver car were to be purchased then would the door handle be silver or chrome?

Different rims, anyone got a pic? I do like the stock '01 CLS tims and was wondering if the dealer would replace the '03 with the '01 CLS rims?

About the heated seats is it possible to place a '01 switch in place for the '03 on/off switch?

Titanium interior? Is it just another plastic-silver/chrome painted knock-off?

Scooter,
Leather inserts in the doors, what kind what do u mean? The '01 have leather in the doors but what kind of a difference would there be compared to the '03s.

NO VSA SWITCH WTF . Ok is that only on the MTs, or all '03. So I can't turn off VSA and do some nice burnouts? OK then is it possible to install a switch?

Tnx guys for all ur help.

You should really do a search as this stuff has been covered since the '03 came out. It also seems as if you've never seen a pic of the '03... see below. You can see the blacked out headlights, the door handles, the grill where the fogs were, and the rims.

The road lamps were totally removed.. there is now a fake vent/grill in place.

I believe the door handles are painted metal.... matching the color of the car.. whether it's blue, black, silver, etc.

The switch probably can't be replaced. Something tells me that the two-way heat on the '01 and '02 is controlled by the computer, not the switch. If the '03 does not have this feature... replacing the switch only won't do anything.

Not sure about the titanium... it's hot... and I think it's real brushed aluminum... but I'm not sure.

Not sure what he means about the leather inserts either... my '02 TL-S has this... so I assumed the CL-S did too... maybe it just got it.....

VSA switch is gone on the manual only.. b/c it has an LSD... the auto still has VSA.

OK.. now for the pic. FYI... it's Zapata's 6-speed. For more pics check out the Gallery:

the leather inserts r DIFFERENT...IMO, the '01's/'02's r better

the '03's have a perforated insert with no ruffling effect like the '01/'02

03 6 speeds have a limited slip front end, They do not have the VSA. And by the way the 6 speed launches much better than the auto because of this.

Just a quick correction; the throttle body is in the same location on all years including the '03 6-Speed. What you may be refering to is the VSA throttle which is eliminated in the 6-Speed.

Also on the heated seat switch, the same two-stage switch is still there on the '03 auto. It's only moved and different on the '03 6-spd..

no i'm talking about the throttle body, pop the hood on a 6spd and an auto(i know my bro has an auto i have a 6spd) the throttle body is closer to the head, thats the main reason why the intake doesn't fit. It has to do with the absence of the vsa, but the throttle body itself is in farther because of this

I owned an '01 prior to the '03 6-Speed and have had the throttle body off on both vehicles so I do have a little experience under the hood of these cars. What appears to be the throttle body on the automatic is actually the VSA throttle and not the driver controlled throttle body.

On the automatics the air first flows through the VSA throttle and then into the standard throttle. The throttle body in both vehicles is attached to the intake manifold. The VSA throttle is what you see on the automatic which is controlled by the ECU.

The "titanium" as far as I can tell is just textured & painted plastic trim. If you feel it or tap it, you can tell it isn't metal.

It looks cool, though.

Intake doesn't fit, CAI??? What could be done to allow my Auto's CAI to fit a 6MT. How far of a gap is now created. Could a soft boot resolve this delima?

Yeh. What's up with that? I don't like the high setting, and the 6 speed only comes with high.

My friend has a '94 BMW, and when you turn the seat on high, it heats for a while, and then goes to low. Now that's sweet!

They moved the switched from in front of the shifter (because of the manual shifter) to the back of it. Now the heat is just a push on, push off. On = high. I don't know why they didn't leave them where they are. Sure the shifter is a little in the way, but it's not like a radio dial, you're not screwing with the seat heat while you're driving. :P

How the hell is that . I would love to have a '03 with high/low/off, just like in my '01. I can't imagine having to turn the seats from high to off to high all the time. Back when my seats "were" working I would just set the seats to high, and when the desired temp was reached return the button to low. That way it keeps the desired temp that I am looking for. FK it must be a pain to have to turn the seats on and off all the time.

Are u sure its a '03, MT or auto? How did u get the '01 option in a '03?

WTF !!! How the hell is that??? I think that is total BS!!! Why are they FKing up a good thing.

OK here are my questions is it possible to have the dealer install the '01 rims on a '03.

And is it possible to install the '03 Auto heated seat switches in a '03 MT?

Someone said that the seats are controled by a computer and that it is not a simple switch that needs to be replaced. Can anyone find out if this is true by searching in www.acuraautocarparts.net , actually I can't remember the correct web address. So if anyone knows hit me up.

Tnx
