Alignments in lowered car??

I just went to SEARS today to get an alignment for my newly lowered car with apex sport springs and koni adjustables. They said they dont do alignments on lowered cars=( oh well. I have heard that there is alot of diffrent kinds of alignments out there. Is this true or an alignment from anywhere is the Same ol' s**t? Do you guys know what is the going price for an alignment and what is the best kind for a lowered caR?
thanks

It's true.

I paid $400 for the installation of my Eibach springs/Camber kit and 4 wheel alignment.

Acura wanted $595 to install springs and alignment and then they said it had NO warrenty at all, not even on labor.

The price in Northern VA for a good 4-wheel alignment (at CDE Motorsports, an excellent speed shop) was $70. My dealer also wanted about the same price. BTW, depending on the severity of your slam, you may not be able to get back or close enuf to factory specs without needing some additional modification to your suspension.

Since I only lowered my car an inch in the front, CDE got my aligment completely back into factory specs. In fact, I had them add some negative toe-in to give me better road feel or "tracking."

The reason most places wont do alignment.. like sears is caus they will never be able to get your camber to spec... unless you get a camber kit.

There are plenty of aftermarket type places that will be glad to do your alignment... $60-80 is the norm...

watch the toe in though.. too much and you eat your tires up like crazy!!!
