Generally no if it's just a rim change. PSI depends on what tire, & size.

If you have some miles on your car or it has been 15000 miles since the last alignment it might not be a bad idea to have it done .New rubber is expensive an alignment is cheap insurance your investment will perform at it's max.

Jens, I just replaced my drivers axle, how important do you think it is to get an alignment? I had one done about 3 weeks prior to switching the axle.

If you are altering the geometry of your car (springs) then an alignment is a good idea. Otherwise, watch you tires and the feel of the steering to determine if you should spend money on an alignment that might be better spent taking your girlfriend out to dinner. YMMV
