Hey All,
Newbie with just three weeks in a Black '01 CL. I LOVE it! One problem though. Several nights (3) the alarm(factory) has started honking away for no apparant reason. Is this common? Anyone know a cure? One night it went off five or six times. I had to pull the battery to get it to stop (and learned about the radio code the hard way).

Any help is appreciated. I'm afraid the neighbors are warming up their baseball bats!

Someone recently posted a similar problem with the factory alarm. It was thought that maybe there was a defective door lock sensor-switch that was the cause. Also, is it possible that someone installed an aftermarket shock sensor to the factory alarm? If a shock sensor is set to a sensitive setting, it will result in false alarms.

The first time it happened I found my "hands free" wire/earpeice deal hanging out of the door and touching the ground. I wondered if that was the problem but then it did it on several oterh occations. I now wonder it that created some sort of short or something.

I may end up taking our friends flippant response and "trip to the dealer."
