$250 bucks Most of it was labor. That hurts.
Plus i got my car buffed out for free (they owed it to me when i bought it in december!!" So it is lookin good and runnin good.
The only thing is some bastard was smoking in my car!! I'm so frickin pissed about that . Gonna call the service manager tommarrow. That is bullshit. It fuckin stinks in their. I can't believe they would do that. A little disappointed

well, i did have my tranny flushed at 15k. but the rest of the stuff is mostly inspections and b.s. nothing that can't wait until 30k. what exactly did they do for you?

honestly, besides the smoking thing.... i still don't have any complaints against woodfeild acura. they are pretty nice and honest. I know a lot of people who are customers there. Never have heard a bad thing. Anything goes wrong and they replace it w/o questioning you.

so, you basically got a $250 oil change.

Seriously, $250 is WAY too much...I never got the 15k, my car is near 30k and I have had no problems...I will definitely get the 30k though. But seriously, look in your owners manual, the 15k service is pointless...just a bunch of inspections and what not. I remember getting quotes from various dealerships around chicagoland, they all had significant price descrepencies. I have to look up the quotes again, but I think that Continental Acura was the cheapest (and the best dealership as far as I'm concerned).

uh... not paying $250
so you basically got raped.
[B]replace engine oil
replace engine oil filter
$15
inspect and top off all fluid levels
$1 for windshield fluid
$1 for coolant
$3 for brake fluid
replace air filter
$8?
replace fuel filter (where applicable) huh?
install krex fuel system and injector cleaner
$5 unnecessary
service front brake pads, rotors, calipers
service back " " " "
inspect and adjust parking brake (bcoz you use it so much in an automatic)
inspect brake hoses and lines
$25
inspect exhaust system and hangers
inspect catalytic converter and heat sheilds
inspect powersteering belt, pump, lines and hoses
$0 worthless at 15k
perform front end alignment and asjust as needed
inspect and adjust valve clearance, replace valve cover (?)
gasket and grommets (where applicalbe)
$5, is that like the cartoon characters? wilbur and gromet??
inspect and adjust throttle linkage
inspect emmision control system
inspect clutch system (where applicalbe) .... i wish!!!:P
flush coolant system
adjust tire pressure, inspect wear, tread depth and rotate
rotation is free at my shop and i look at tread wear myself and add air once a month as everyone should. (those tire pressure public safety commercials have gotten to me. pressure to 35 psi once a month! not 32 as the book says.)
test drive vehicle
-$10 for the joy ride
That comes to $53 by my calc. The guy who paid $70 is right on.
Most good shops offer a competent 15k check for $100 or less. As long as you service it regularly and get the alignment done, you're good.

Hell, I didn't even do the "inspections" at 30k. Here's what I did to my car, I currently have 31,000 miles.
All done at an acura dealer:
7,500 miles - changed oil (normal oil) $30
15,000 miles - changed oil (Mobil 1) and tranny fluid $70
22,500 miles - changed oil (Mobil 1) and air filter and a/c filters $100
30,000 miles - changed oil (Mobil 1) and tranny fluid $70
My service manager told me that when they change the oil and tranny fluid, they put it up on the rack and check out most of the car, no need to pay $100s of dollars in labor for bullshit checks...
I will also go further and bet anyone on this forum that my car will easily last past 150,000 miles with changing the oil every 7,500 miles. But it's a sucker bet, cause I doubt I will have this car at 150,000 miles, just like 99% of you guys won't have your car at 150,000 miles either, so no need to change the oil more often than Acura recommends.

Yeah, what i don't get is that every other service has been either free or 35 dollars. Maybe they are raping me because they built a new showroom and stuff.
