Sometimes when I start my car or even when driving, the passenger airbag light goes on indicating that it's not working. Eventually it goes off, but it happens from time to time, any idea what's going on?

 

Not sure. Mine does it occasianally also, usually when someone is in the passenger seat

 

Is there anything or anyone in the passenger seat? The seat has a built in sensor that detects if the item in that seat is not positioned right & shuts off the airbag for safety. This is normal.

However if the light is going on with nothing in the seat then that sensor in the seat is malfunctioning & needs to be checked out.

 

The light only goes on when someones in the passenger seat, thanks fuzzy, I knew something was strange when I noticed it only went on when someone else was in the passenger seat
