Only heating is standard on the S500 seats, even.

Does the CL have vents in the back of the center console? In the TL it does.
I've been wanting to try this: Divert the ducts that go under the center console and run them to the driver's seat back. Should be a pretty simple mod to do.
Only problem is I don't have a TypeS with the perforated seats, so it probably wouldn't work for me. Anybody wanna let me try it on their S?

If I remember correctly there are ducts under the front seats in the CL. Since they are low it shouldn't be too hard to divert the air, and with the perforated leather it might work well.

Three Wheelin'
THe Heated Seats can be standard on SOME Models, but the Active Ventilated Seats are an option to any model they are available on. ie S, CL, E Class, and CLK Classes. Even on the Maybach its a option. But its a 1500 dollar option for a 3stage 10 fan system

I saw one new mercedes that has vents right under the headrests on the seats...so it blows hot/cold air directly onto your neck and down your back.
Thats pretty cool.

The 2004 LS430 has this 'ultra luxury' package ... rear seats recline, have a MASSAGER and A/C through the perforations in the leather. That is sick!
Don't think the driver would get a massager ... they'd fall asleep at the wheel!

my mom has the AC seats in her s500. i must say, those defenitly come in handy in florida. From just hearing about it, i never thought they would make a big difference, but they defenitly do it on hot summer days.
